My new toy! DJI F450 Quadcopter, first flights

After the last metal detecting hunt and having flown JetskiJohn's quadcopter I just had to have one! for the past 25years or so and before I got into metal detecting I used to fly model aircraft, Fixed wing, jets, Helicopters plus boats and cars and after doing a weeks worth or research I decided the F450 was the perfect choice for me.
Took about 2hours to build the kit and another couple of hours to workout (carefully) how to set up the flight controller using the downloaded software, I'm using the Naza M lite with GPS and quite a few have mentioned about it not locking onto GPS until you've flown for a few minutes which I'm also getting but it's not a problem as GPS is just nice to have it sit there and hold it's position whereas I want to fly it around.

Fantastic video Paul - I have been building model aeroplanes since I was a kid (hundreds of Airfix kits!). Really enjoyed the parts look over and build. First flight with the chicken poop in the background was brilliant - and it sounds great too. Actually the effect with the blades rotating on the GoPro is really good - just like a real chopper! Must have for my 'over the hill' recon! This would be particularly useful in some of our old ghost towns for identifying building outlines etc. Top stuff mate - look forward to your next mission. Looks awesome and if I wasn't saving for something else I reckon I'd get myself one of these as you could make some great aerial and tracking shots for videos with one of these fellas.

Great things, can you attach a detector to them? and then them drop a flag at the signal, so all you have do is go and dig the signals lol
