On our football team our quarterback has the strongest power clean at 265. And before you say anything, he is a beast of a qb. He squats 415 and runs a 4.52 40. He weighs about 180 lbs

Beyond fucking impressive and powerful to the degree that most people will never achieve this strength in their lifetime. However, this is a squat clean, not a power clean. Power clean implies that you catch the weight above parallel and not sit into a full squat when receiving the bar

In 1985 before I graduated high school I did a strict perfect touch and go bench press of 405.

I heard many rumors about guys supposedly almost, as strong or stronger than me but I would never actually see anyone who was even close.

I didn't practice clean but I doubt I could do even 275.

In any case a 350 lb clean is much more difficult and impressive than a 400 lb bench.
