Fred Gwynne, God rest his soul, was a terrific actor: the way he plays his part as grimly as an undertaker who just witnessed a car crash really makes you feel that this is a man you’d be wise not to cross.

For some reason when Vinny asks if he wants to hear the facts of the case, I lose it when the judge says "no."

Fun Fact: This is the pro hac vice motion is a request for an out-of-state attorney to be permitted to practice law in a specific case in another jurisdiction. You have always have to go to be interviewed by the judge and a lawyer to represent you to say that you are willing to follow the rules of that state when you apply.
