7:48 I'm late to the party but the Vagabot doesn't exhaust anything if the rules don't specifically say so. If the Vagabot moves for battle he doesn't exhaust an item for move, but exhausts the item to initiate the battle. Then repeats battling for as long as the enemy is still there AND there are enough items to exhaust (each battle attempt after the first one requires two items to be exhausted).

Vagabot max hits is determined by the number of his items. A 6th, 9th, and 12th item have their own designated spots (with the 12th giving an extra hit). Similarly to how player Vagabond works, each received hit damages one item in Vagabot's Satchel, however Vagabot doesn't care which item is which, they all work the same (and you don't flip them to unexhausted side if they are repaired; in general, do not flip when moving to and from the Damaged box).

Finally, in addition to receiving a VP for removing a token or building (as per normal rules), Vagabot receives a VP for each killed warrior as well. This only works if it happens through Battle action (thus if the Vagabot is the attacker).

You pay for the Vagabot's move only when exploring. It explicitly states "Move to the nearest ruin, exhausting one item per move, then exhaust one item to take an item from that ruin." Other actions (Quest and Battle) do not require exhausting to move.

Edit: I'm realizing now that the rules for the Clockwork bots have changed somewhat over the years. There is also a Director's Cut version where the Vagabots are not required to exhaust anything when moving, even when exploring. I'm guessing this was done to streamline the execution and it's probably balanced elsewhere. I don't know. What I was referring to was based on the Vagabot board image from BGG which appears to be the same version that I've got.

Hey there. Thanks for the video. Just a question I am confused about.

At several points in the video when the vagabot is fighting, you damage 3 items. While it is true in both these cases the defender rolled a 3, the number of pieces was 1 or 2. Therefore, should the vagabot not take a maximum number of hits equal to the number of defending pieces and should therefore have lost 1 or 2 items? Or is there some additional rule that states he always damages 3 items?
