India, the world’s third largest oil importer, is bracing itself to stem the impact of a record surge in oil prices after drone attacks on Saudi Arabia’s facilities caused the biggest ever sudden disruption in oil supplies. Saudi Aramco, however, assured India that it will honour its supply contracts in spite of the production cuts that knocked out 5% of global supplies and stoked concerns of further uncertainty in the region.
