I joined the Army as an Infantry soldier in the post Vietnam years. At that time, the Army was in a drawdown, so they only wanted to keep the top 1/2 of each new group of soldiers coming through boot camp. That meant that they had to so mean, grueling and relentless on the troops that 50% of the recruits either injured out, quit dishonorably, ran away, or occasionally even died. We slept in old drafty wooden WWII barracks without AC in the Georgia summer heat and humidity, and barely slept at that. We rarely saw females in the military except in the healthcare branches, and we, along with our superiors, always openly degraded females through cadence songs, and comments, and jokes. We were trained with the sole mission to be "mean sons a bitches" perfectly designed to kill our enemies. Boy how things have changed.

I think many could see that it was inevitable. What really blows my mind is how incredibly fast it happened.

Female marine says she has to work 10x harder than the men. She proceeds to struggle with one pull-up. She is now a drill instructor. Hahaha

I am so glad I went through the Army during the late 80's and didn't have this woke culture that is only trying to feminize men.

Good post and thanks to the Navy Dawg for his service. I just want to clear the narrative of being WOKE because it has changed into something that it wasn't. In 1988 Spike Lee did a movie called Skool Daze where the message to Black people was to wake up. Which had a host of meanings, like stop fighting amongst yourselves, love your own culture despite what others may say, learn to build and create for yourselves. In that movement we became"WOKE" and we would say stay woke to motivate each other and keep your eyes open and on the end game. It never was about LGBTQ and he's hollering at me type of soft stuff. The term has been hijacked and misused.

You two are obviously right. When men and women join & serve in the military in any country around the world they have to have courage, discipline, maturity, responsibility, selflessness, & stoicism. I understand we humans are emotional species and we all want love, respect, & support but you must stay focus & you must be tough period. Both men and women need to embrace their masculine side by being courageous and being strong. Your enemies do not care about your personal feelings because they would not hesitate to attack you, capture you, torture you, and kill you. That is the brutal world we live in and you must be ready for anything when you are in the military period.

These are the rules that every military groups should be teaching. Especially they should be passing a new rule which is number three, no woke victimhood also known as Jussie Smollett meaning no victim mentality because the victim mentality symbolizes immaturity, laziness, low self-esteem, & weakness which should never be tolerated at all in the military period.
