The hand held helmet works great for a friend to watch you weld and it also works great for looking at a solar eclipse.
An auto darkening helmet may not respond to direct sunlight and it might not protect your eyes. The lens in the hand held might work as a camera filter.

This is the welder I bought from harbour freight (brand new lol) after welding with it for a while I guess it's not bad it's probably more my technique than the machine, but I wish I had gone with the titanium mig welder. So I could try both fluxcore and some mig welding after I buy a tank of shielding gas. Thanks again for the video's very helpful!

amazing review but I can’t imagine not welding with the “gas nozzle”, I know it is for gas as you said but without that could risk the life of of the mig gun tremendously

I bought one like that the other at Harbor freight but haven’t had time to try it yet. Mine didn’t come with a spool of welding wire good thing I bought a extra.

Hey man know this comment is a little late but, did you use the 15amp circuit in your garage? I only have 15amp circuits as well and wondering if that’s what you did use in this or the 20amp. Thanks for the video man

I would say that thing is a quality home Welder. Nice beads. Machines are like guitars, I’ve seen a video of a rockstar play Ozzy on a hello kitty guitar lol.. It’s no different welding.

I was leant one of these this weekend by a friend of mine to do some projects around the house. “ Ironworker by trade” and don’t want to buy a 2, 000.00 Lincoln to throw a few beads down.
