Why do people HATE Boruto

I finally got around to making the long-awaited 6th instalment of the 'Why do People Hate' series, where today I'm going to tackle one of the most hated sequels of all time, Boruto.

Just my perspective on the topic: Boruto. Yes, he is bratty and ungrateful in the beginning, but he develops his character throughout the manga and anime. For example, during the Hidden Mist mission he was assigned to, he helped inspire his peers and even put his own life on the line to broker peace with warring factions when he was out at sea. Later on, he adopts a new approach, willingly putting himself in harm's way to help others, no matter the cost. Boruto is not the same as he was in the beginning; he has been through so much, learned from trial and error, and would gladly give his life to save anyone in need.

In the manga "Two Blue Vortex, " we see how much he has grown and how he has developed new perspectives on how he carries himself, becoming more appreciative throughout his journey. He is essentially following a similar path to Itachi, bearing all the hatred and traitorous labels attached to his name for the betterment of his village and the world overall.

I hate Boruto for the missed opportunity it represents:
Picture this; 16 years after the end of the war, Boruto, top academy student volunteers for missions far away from the Leaf to get away from his strained relationship with his father who he always gets compared to. He goes after random crooks and small time villains because while the world is at peace, evil never sleeps and never rests. The protection of the peace achieved by his father's efforts is thus the lifework he inherited while he still resents his father that is never home and a target he can never match.

Interestingly, the old Naruto readers hate ninja tools, and the old characters in Boruto don't like it either. In fact, it's a reflection of the fans in the real world.

Fun fact: Ahsoka from Star Wars the Clone Wars was written to be bratty and annoying on purpose. It was part of her character development in the long run. The Clone Wars shaped her to who she is by the end of the series.

We don't hate the character, or the show. We just hate how the Boruto Anime was written and animated.

I will always love Boruto, i used to hate it because i just listened to ppl who hate it, but after i read it myself, i realized i was a sheep who just hated it just for hating it because everyone else hates it. But now, i really love the series, and i keep getting criticized for loving it, but i dont care.

People watch a series with a child as the main character and complaining about him being immature. Make it make sense.

I think Kishimoto should have done the same thing as Araki done. Have the Boruto series took place in another universe where it have some elements of the previous series, while doing it own thing, like JoJo Steel Ball Run. (Kaguya have introduced other dimensions, so it would have worked.)

It's a sequel series not a spin off

I mean unlike Naruto Boruto had peapole to actually train and watch out for him. He is 50% hyuga, main branch at that, around 25% Namikaze, and 25% Uzumaki and obviusly has the karma slowly turning him into a Ototsuki.
