Kendrick Lamar always a banger slowed speed up or remixed the vocals is what gets me the most he talks about his past sister pretty much just gives us a day in his shoes and pride always hits dark for me bc I’ve been through the struggle of life so I can relate to what he’s saying and as a white boy growing up in the projects for people who think we’re criminals and bad people I’ll tell you this the ghetto projects or where ever we’re just trying to survive. It’s hell but walk down the ghetto on a Sunday and see that most of us are in church the other half that be outside mean mugging you on the front porch are just trying to protect what they’ve built ask them how there days been that shit helps but if the don’t say nothing keep walking and don’t look back bc that says you ain’t from around there walk in the ghetto like you grew up there but watch out for the colors you where don’t where no bandana don’t try to blend in bc that will get you hurt in a red or blue area don’t try to walk or talk like nobody be yourself and try not to look nervous we can feel that shit from a mile away. Just walk through if anybody talks to you just tell them you passing through if they try to tell you that you can’t walk that way tell them I’ll go around I didn’t know. Be on there side but don’t buy into there shit. And if you hear tires screech from not to far be ready it could be 1 of 2 things an idiot thats trying to show off or a drive by if that happens stay low and hide don’t worry about trespassing just get behind something people there understand that when shit go down you have to do what you must to survive but if you run into a situation like that you’ve gone to far. Another thing is that you can’t always tell what is and isn’t ghetto or the projects but if your not from around there your body will let you know when it’s time to leave. Oh and If your whistling and it sounds like someone is whistling back stop whistling and walk your dumb ass away from there whistles are signals and some people might get confused and start asking questions you don’t want that.
