Hello friends and thank you all for watching!

A minor change. I erroneously state that Android Compute Core was updated in Android 12. It was launched in Android 12 for the first time, but it was updated in a later beta. I got myself mixed up and read it wrong. That's my bad.

It is also true that I shot a good percentage of this on the final beta in advance. There was no discernible difference between the final beta and the real deal (the update was literally only 3.5MB in size). I promise you I would've reshot anything that looked different in the final version before uploading the video. I know most probably won't care (or notice lol), but I believe in transparency here.

For the Easter egg, if you set the clock to 12 o'clock exactly, it transitions to another, more decorative screen. Forgot about that. My bad!

Finally, I know the media switcher was in Android 11. It looks and acts slightly different now. It's a video about an entire OS, sometimes I miss a thing. Also my bad!

Otherwise, let me know any additional feedback in the comments! Thank you!

You could snooze the notifications by :
Long press At a glance < customize < notification dots < activate "Allow notification snoozing"

Runs so smooth on the Pixel 3. This OS finally looks really fresh.

4:27 one thing they added is a gesture hint that moves, which is very subtle, but makes gestures that much more intuitive. Before, the little line at the bottom would stay still, but with android 12, it closes out with the app then fades back in

The cohesiveness is great, but I absolutely hate that you can't turn off wifi with one tap now. Also hate how the settings menu pages have a header that takes up 1/3 the screen for absolutely no reason. Those two can't even be fixed in something like Nova, and they'll annoy me a TON.

I still can't make up my mind about if Iike the new aesthetics. One thing I know for sure is that I really hate the new quick settings and notification menu

So I messed up and updated (downgraded) to Android 12 without researching first. Any chance of the OS getting an update that allows me to get rid of the date on the home screen, change the clock on the lock screen, and get rid of the opaque background on the clock widget? You know, things that should be customizable by default without using a third party app? Or should I start researching how to roll back to 11 instead?

On Samsung phones, OneUI 4.1 doesn't make the quick settings buttons bigger. It is still the same small round buttons as before

I've been trying to install it on my Pixel 4a but it's just said optimizing apps for almost an hour..

If you like giant cartoon bubbles and you like not having the option to change the color of your quick settings menu, change the shape of your icons, or be able to change your system fonts, then I guess Android 12 is great...

And why are ring and notification sounds still linked????

They got rid of everything I liked about my pixel and didn't change the one thing I didn't like. Definitely regret updating...

I've been running Android 11 on my Motorola G smartphone (without any problems) since I got it. I received a notification that an OS update to Android 12 was available. So, I went ahead & performed the upgrade several days later.

After completing the new OS installation & re-booting the device...
Something WEIRD was going on with the Lock-Down Screen. When I unlocked the device, I still could not get past a Drop-down Reminder/Notification Panel whereby it obstructed access to the Home Screen, the Main Apps List, the Settings, etc.

(BTW, Nothing appeared to be terribly wrong with Version 11. I hardly ever use my device "one-handed." So WHO told these people that I wanted the GUI redesigned to optimize one-handed use)? Tues. 1/10/2023

I absolutely hate the lock screen clock and have no option to change it on my device.

The theming disappointed me, in the last Android version we got fonts, more accent colors and icon shapes. This just gives takes away options and instead leaves you with an extremely dull colour the os chooses from the background photo.
