I am going to cover 4 points of each miter protractor.

Miter protractors have been around for a long time, they make finding precise angles easy with no math required. They are used by pros and D.I.Y'ers alike, yet so many people don't know they exist.

Not all miter protractors are created equal, some require the use of a t- bevel and others can be placed right on the area that a angle reading is needed. Some give super accurate readings and some not so much.

Miter protractors are used in all forms of carpentry from rough framing to the final trim work. They are also commonly used by wood workers to figure out the precise angles required to complete fine woodworking projects.

The thing I like the most about miter protractors is the ability to get an angle weather it be a single cut angle or a double cut angle like that used in trim work. Get your reading set your mitersaw and cut it, doesn't get any easier that that.

You can check out the sawset pro in action in many of my videos or you can visit @SawsetTools youtube channel and check it out in action there.

You can also purchase the original sawset or the sawset pro right from there website.

Detroit D.I.Y Apparel has arrived please take a minute to check it out using the link below.

Aways remember to respect the power of your power tools.

Great video. Without accuracy, it’s a useless tool. Glad to know that sawset makes an accurate mitre protractor.

7:45 onwards - Look at that optical illusion! Keep your eyes on the rectangle thing in the center of the Sawset Pro, and it appears to lag behind everything else. Very strange!

Thanks Jim. After numerous emails to sawset, I was still never able to get an answer on where to put the t bevel onto the sawset. Just a video that was not detailed at all. I gave up, . You are the only person who mentioned there is a little nub on the sawset to butt the t bevel up to. Gosh that was hard to find out till watching your video. Since you mentioned the steel sawset is available, and there doesn't appear to be a nub to butt the t bevel to on it, where exactly should the t bevel be placed in order to get the accurate measurement?

So missing is placement of the angle instrument against the Sawset Miter Saw Protractor. Not well defined!
