I heard hippy tree hugger types here in Cali passed something that does not allow the fire departments to keep areas maintained like dead trees low branches. So that they don’t disturb the natural habitat. Since then they have had a harder time fighting all the fires. Plus I’m sure not enough money as usual for a lot of different things to help different departments.

Someone drove a car off a mountain and started the biggest fire there. The fires are not "wild".

it's crazy to me that no one ever mentions the wildlife now displaced always only concern for people, like the people aren't going to be okay. What about the wildlife with literally no where and no one to turn to.

In McArther California 25 years ago, we had a huge wildfire and the prisoners were used to fight the fire. Base camp was in McArthur and they had air-conditioning. The Mayor wrote a horrible piece on how prisoners didn't deserve the air conditioning!! A prisoner was in line at the Rays Food Place and he went to pay for his groceries, but his wallet and credit cards in his back pocket were melted together. The people in the store all got together and paid his bill and the Mayor was ousted for her horrible behavior. These firefighters deserve more than a tent in the heat. THANK YOU PRISON FIREFIGHTERS AND FIREFIGHTERS. $1 an hour on an active fire? Who's getting the rest of tht money?
