I have this theory that they make the cgi in fiction films bad on purpose so we won't notice cgi elsewhere. A lot of period pieces or just normal dramas use cgi too, to get rid of a city skyline, or remove powerlines, etc, and its so realistic and low key that u never would know if u didnt see a behind the scenes. Most of what we see on the "news" is probably cgi too
