Many years ago I made a database of funny takes on the weather for a radio station. I did so in the voice of an old country man who called storms, "thunder boomers, " and often referred to nature as "Mama Nature."

I got the gig, because a friend at the radio station liked the various voices I used, and he knew that I needed the money. They were able to use those clips for years to give the weather in the persona I had created.

For real! I was doing narration for a podcast assignment in college, and I had forgotten to eat beforehand. I swear that the microphone picked up every little grumble, to the extent that my professor made me drink a hot cocoa before my stomach could be heard on my classmates recording too. It felt like an exercise in humiliation 🫠

I bought some cheap bluetooth headset. If I turn them on I hear a happy "Connected!" the voice sounds like yours. Maybe thats your voice?

All you need is an iron lung to lay in while recording, that's stuffed with sound insulation. #solutions! Haha but for real, damn, that sucks
