Wow, this is how the first product announcement should be like. Informative, good quality, deep insights and so far only positive news.
Great!

Our church upgraded to an X32 mixer back in March. We love it! The mix architecture is superb. I'm so excited to see Behringer take this architecture, along with the Midas preamps, to a smaller form factor and price point. These things are going to sell like crazy!

I've been using the xr 18 for about a month now. It is absolutely fabulous. No problems at all thus far.

That is amazing, really! I have the X32 and I can tell you this mixer is a killer! Having most of the software function on a smaller format like this is awesome when gigging. Bravo Behringer!!!

Behringer well done. Well done... The prices in Latin America will be key to success.

A really good product. It's nice to see the versatility of the X32 packaged to fit smaller budgets. And a nice evolution of the old analog mixers. Can we expect to see the same evolution happen with the outdated V-Amp series?

Thank you for this unique line of products, for that giant lead to the nxt step in the industry of console.
These seem to have a great potential, and I am shure they will sell very well.
I am totally convinced, and ready to buy the XR-18 model, for stage, rehearsal and home studio use.
I understand that in this price range, Berhinger offers an unprecedented sum of features.

Also, developping cross platform control apps to the XR series is a massive challenge.
But competiton is raging, and other big brands just announced top-end products with very seducing control apps.
That led me to quick test in demo mode, to compare on Ipad the Berinhger X Air control app with its "competitors" from close and/or upper price range.

Quick review of the iPad X-Air app strenghts:
Very neat and easy to understand GUI.
Very responsive and useable layout too: great top pannel navigation.
Simple, accessible: a 5 to 10 mn tour is enought to take full control, for any DAW/console-friendly user.
Naming AND coloring each channel is very convenient.
So is drag and drop for groups and placement.

GUI concerns:
_ Track number should not be partially covered and masked by fader at its lowest position, as it is now.
_ Faders and knobs need editable values: click + numeric keyboard

Option wish-list, after seing what other brand are already offering :
_ very important: naming, saving and recalling entire sets and FX presets.
_ settings to lock, disable, or mask unused channels.
_ mute groups.
_ assignable icon or photo for channels, FX, and sets.
_ a slider to scroll through channels without any risk of accidentaly moving a fader.

I hope you will consider those software improvements, and wish you a great success.
Of course, I totally volunteer for beta testing: just send me an XR-18 and you'll get major feedback !!!

The secret to bringers success is simple...They don't treat us like we are just money bags.

Hi, what will happen if the control device (ex. smartphone, ipad, tablet etc.) switch off, disconnect out of network? How the X-air react when the control device switch on, connects to network again? Will the x-air be synced to the controller or the controller will sync to x-air?

Looks great! We have been waiting a seriously long time for the X18 since it was originally revealed so am concerned that we'll have a LONG wait for the release of the rackmount versions!??

Can I streaming music/mp3 from my smartphones/tablets to the x-air 12 if on the same network?

I've been waiting with bated breath since you first announced the X16.. just a little longer to wait.  The XR18 will do the job nicely for me.  It is almost totally perfect (if it could record directly to a USB stick or HDD it would be).  Perhaps 4 x HiZ would be nice, but still DI boxes are cheap enough anyway.  WELL DONE :-)

I have a question. Can you save a preset? For example, if you want to use the mixer on several different bands?

Can the x air 18 the left and right be router to work as a aux output just like in the big x32 mixer and the x32 rack?

Ahoy Chaps. Can you program cues / scenes on the X Air app for a show? I'm thinking about getting a x air xr18 to control radio mics for a musical using an ipad. Is there a "GO" button cueing system with this software.CheersGlenn

Did he say linux? That's great! If I could run the mix on a linux laptop setup for cheap, and record tracks to hdd on a mac or windows laptop that would be amazing. I would like to see a demo of this if it is possible.

What are the principal differences between X32-rack and X18Rack, besides number of mixable channels?

I'm using Mackie Dl1608, fine for a small gigs, (own X32 with two S16s and Presonus SL32 as well), but lack of remote headamps control is a big drawback. Will get x18, but would seriously consider new 32-ch Presonus and Mackie offerings.
