I actually took up beekeeping in 2007. Soon i had so much honey i didnt know what to do with it, so i posted then online, and went around to farmers markets, and started selling raw honey with REAL CHUNKS of honeycomb in every jar.
I was selling a 30 ounce jar for 10$ but for 2$ more, i would give them a second jar. I also ran two other specials "buy 6 get 5 free" and "buy 15 get 15 free" and it didnt take me long to sell out of my inventory at those prices

The fact food industry “cuts” products to make more money is actually insane and should be illegal.

Go outside of town, find a good beekeeper and buy directly from him/her, alternatively go to the farmers market if you have one nearby and try your luck there, there is an added bonus to that, you are financially helping small family businesses and don't finance big corpo...

Just because something says local grown on the package doesn’t just automatically mean it’s inherently true

I go to farmers market for raw honey, always the best straight from farmers and cheap

I’ve been getting local honey in my neighborhood from a beekeeper! It’s amazing! I’ve been using it to help my toddlers cough and allergies too!

Respects for mentioning Canada....

They are slowly taking away our ability to buy foods that are real and whole .... and now the home garden is under attack where they are legislating new bylaws on use of water on lawn and garden thus forcing us to buy more at the supermarket

My mom just got her first successful honey harvest from her hive this year 🥰 So proud of her, and she gave me a whole jar!! Nothing beats pure raw honey made with love and humanity 🤤

Raw local honey 🍯 is always the best for your immune system...it's the only way to go, it's expensive but your health is worth it. 😊

Another thing they need to change on the labels in the US is "distributed by" and label exactly where our food is coming from.

Next step is getting local “glyphosate free” honey.

Basically the honey sold on shelves are no better than maple syrup you buy for pancakes, it’s loads of sugar and scammy.

Its all fun and games until you end up with 15 different raw honey's.

My neighbor has bees, my family’s been getting our honey from him for as long as I can remember. Fresh, raw honey is so much better than the bear-shaped plastic bottles of crap from the store. Which might sound like a cliche, but it’s actually a huge difference, tastes way better and actually does have a notably positive impact on your allergies.

I knew about the local, raw honey but not about China's processing and how they export it here.

I like original Manuka honey. The taste is the best. When you add this a little bit on a wound (a closed one) it really helps to heal.

Yes! Thank you! Also, store - bought honey is heated so all the good stuff is gone. I like to get my local - North East - honey from the Farmer's Market from Trembley Apiary! I get the 4 pound jar every chance I get.
