Canada Post presents new framework to postal union

The longer they stay on the strike the longer everyone finds ways to not need canada post. This strike might negotiate the lot of them out of a job.

Both sides need to get their act together. Otherwise nobody at Canada Post will have a job.

The postal union is still thinking like unions of the 1950's. They don't get that times have changed and if they ask for too much they will loose members in the long run. I was a union member for over 20 yrs. We had a smart union executive and we never went on strike, we worked and did our job, got settled and got back pay and a bonus. These postal union heads are stuck in the fog of yester year.

The union is striking for a mathematical impossibility. Canada post, at this rate, will not exist in the next 5 years as is. If the demands are met canada post cant function. Theyre asking for 110% of the pie. They cant deliver even if they wanted to. Everyone will lose their jobs sooner or later, largely because of their own union. Instead of working with the company, they seem to want to take as much treasure off the ship as they can as it sinks. Sad

The federal government needs to step in. The union is holding Canada hostage. Back to work legislation should happen,

The only mail I get is JUNK Mail, every bill comes via e-mail or direct payment to the bank. Canada post will be like sears and Blockbusters.

The postal workers definitely don't have my backing as they are overpaid as it is for what they do. I say force them back to work or have them look for another job

Get those bums back to work. Canada post, bc of this strike, will be dead in the next year or so. They arnt competative. The union refuses to budge on Double time weekends. Keep it up, you are only burrying yourself.
