Back in 2001, (before streaming and I didnt have cable) I had a baby and moved out of my parents' home. I had a bunch of old VHS tapes and the following DVDs: A Knight's Tale, Long Kiss Goodnight, Sliding Doors, Waterboy, Miss Congeniality and Center Stage. I stayed home with Baby, and watched each of those DVDs EVERY SINGLE DAY. later on picked up Drumline and Notting Hill and added them to the rotation.These movies hold a very dear place in my heart❤

And you haven’t aged a day! I watched this movie over and over and over. Seeing all those BABY FACES!!!! Ethan Stiefel was such a baby! At my ballet studio the Center Stage poster was in the dressing room and we’d kiss our hands and press them against the face of whomever we needed to channel that day! 🤣 my entire class knew the “illegal dance class” piece by heart and we’d “dance the sh*t out of it!!!” 🤣 ❤❤❤❤❤

This film was life for us. It was brilliant. It was beautiful. Sometimes I want to rewind time and go back and stay in those precious moments before the world came tumbling down. Thank you for all the smiles and aspirations! 💗 🩰 💗

When I saw her first appear on Suits I didn’t immediately recognize that she was the girl from Center Stage but she looked so familiar and stunning. At the time I was like, “how do you not know who this stunning beautiful woman is?” So I wiki’d her and found out and was of course not surprised this dime piece was the great ballerina dancer on Center Sgagr. She looks so good even later

I first saw the poster add for this movie in a Seventeen magazine when I was a Senior in HS. They had little notes with arrows connecting the main cast on how they like felt about each other. I don't remember what they said, but I just found that cute. Then the previews came out. Being a musical fan and seeing the ballet stuff got me excited, so my mom and I went and saw it. So happy 25 years later, they're all still friends. This movie also in retrospect taught me a very important lesson- Don't pursue something just because you're good at it, do it because you love it.
