DJI O4 Air Unit Pro Ultimate Review & O3 & Avata 2 Comparison

The DJI O4 Air Unit Pro is the latest addition to DJI's lineup of FPV gear. This brings the incredible tech of the O4 transmission system to custom built FPV drones. The O4 Pro essentially uses the same camera as the DJI Avata 2 and has the same quality. It also uses the same video transmission tech as the DJI Avata 2. We will also take a look at the camera performance including low light, sharpness and dynamic range of the O4 air unit pro, O3 air unit and DJI Avata 2. I haven't tried out the O4 Air Unit Lite or normal DJI O4 Air Unit, but it's essentially the same camera as the DJI Neo with some performance upgrades.

TBH I find it hard to switch away from the original Air units/ Vista with WTFOS. O4 fixed most issues from o3, but recording on the fpv camera is not ideal (exposure change, low shutter speed and the quality is still inferior to any action camera), so if flying with 5 inch and above I don't care about o4...
Now if we're trying to fly smaller and safer drones, o4 makes a lot of sense. A 2.5" whoop or 3" racer with just an AIO and an o4 pro is very safe, much more quiet, can actualy hit smaller gaps, and still deliver good shots. It's also a much easier to pack a couple of small quads with 10 lipos than a couple of 5inch with as many lipos. For content creators and productions that aren't too picky about quality, it might be a no brainer to switch to o4.

So basically, the 04 pro is the camera from the avata 2. Same fps and resolution and same color assist as the a2. And the 04 lite is the neo with higher fps since it can record 4k 60fps while the neo only has 4k 30fps.

Avata 2 can freestyle quite well, watch dronearchy. It decently powerful but what makes it standout from other Fpv drones is its settings, camera drone abilities, gimbal, and flight time as well as range. Definitely worth it

Is the pro same quality as avata 2 even by margins I fly for concerts and festivals and the low light from avata 2 is awesome just hate the drone itself
