DIY Two-Toned Wax Embeds 🍂

If you have a steady hand, you could also pour directly into the molds but I like to use the pipettes for more control and precision. Embeds like these are a great way to add a pop of color to your candles but just know that as they melt, the colors will begin to blend so you may end up with a brownish candle top. Waxes like BW-921, IGI 6028, and beeswax are all great for embeds but be sure to do some burn tests to see if you will need to adjust your wick.

Why do you need to use pillar wax? I did some 2 toned about a month ago (early prep) with coconut soy and they turned out lovely. I’m new at the candle thing so I wasn’t sure if I was missing something with the pillar part. TIA!

Hi! Does the pillar wax at the top melt well ? I am using soy wax for my container candles.

how do you prevent the pillar wax dye from going into the container wax? I use the block dyes and when the candle goes to a room with fluctuating temperature, the colour blends into the container wax.
