Collin Raye was absolutely amazing. You couldn't beat Vince Gill, Travis Tritt and him in the 90's.

My husband carries a letter I wrote him 40 years ago while we were in high school and we broke up. He says he carries it as a reminder of how much we meant to each other back then and today. Also that life isn’t a sprint it’s a marathon endurance will always win the race. Very blessed to have this man in my life just 2 puzzle pieces that have fit together since we were 11 years old. ❤️❤️

When I joined my church as a young wife & mother, a newly widowed woman took me under her wing and mentored me for the past 30 years. She understood my struggles. She married her high school sweetheart at the age of 18. After 40 years of marriage he passed away suddenly. They played this song at his funeral. She never remarried. She stayed busy as a leader and mentor to many women in our church. I know it was a long 30 years for her, but she reunited with her beloved sweetheart last week. Her adult children insisted on playing this song at her funeral. I will miss my dear friend, but it warms my heart that they are together again. What a huge blessing and inspiration for my own marriage.

I love Collin Raye's voice. His song "Little Rock" really shows the power in his voice. I had the pleasure of watching him perform night after night in a local casino in Reno, NV. His band was called The Wrays and they would tour through Nevada. He did all kinds of cover songs. Then one day, he got signed to a music label and moved to the Big Time. I look back at those days and remember how many Collin Wray concerts I listened to for free!

My daddy always said that the greatest thing a father can do for his children is love their mother. They spent 56 years together until he passed away from asbestos poisoning in 2006 (from serving on the USS Oriskany Aircraft Carrier during the Korean War). My sweet mama followed him 6 years later. I am at peace, knowing they met when her chores were through. I have the above quote on a painting on my wall, with my parents' names and their wedding date, which ironically is September 11, 1948.

I had the pleasure of seeing this man in concert a few months ago after listening to his music for the better part of 30 yrs. A true talent and genuinely kind man. A couple got up and started dancing during one of the ballads and he serenaded them. 💕

Collin wasn't your prototypical country artist in the day eith all the twang and all. He had and still has such a beautiful voice! So many hits from the 90's...Little Rock, One Boy One Girl, In This Life, If I Were You, That Was a River, Love Remains, Not That Different, All My Roads, I Volunteer, Somebody Else's Moon, Survivors, Let It Be Me, Dreaming My Dreams...so many good songs and I'm forgetting a lot!

Always loved this song and it still makes me cry. When I was young I thought everyone would get that type of love, as I've grown older I've learned only a select few do

I Love Collin Raye. This song was my father's favorite song and it always made him tear up. Now that he's passed since 2010 every time I hear this song I sob, because I can literally still hear my dad in my head singing this song and crying at the same time. Amazing how memories work when music is involved.

When we buried my grandmother my grandfather took her wedding ring off just before they closed the casket. He placed it on his ring finger and it stayed there when we buried him 14 years later. They were finally back together. He worshiped the ground she walked on and ALWAYS treated her with great respect and love. Watching that love when I was little was special because he was a grump (loving one) but a grump none the less (he was strict / firm / fair) with all us grandkids. But with Nana he just went soft, gentle and kind with just one look at her. I lost him ten days after my 25th birthday and all I thought at the time was how they were finally back together (his last years were not kind health wise). Then just 45 days later I lost the love of my life in a car accident the night before I was going to propose. When I showed the ring to her mother when we were having the private family viewing, her mother said it was beautiful and to return it to get a refund. I said I didn't want to do that. After a brief pause "mom" went to get her husband, they came to me and then took me to her with both of them helping we placed the ring on her finger. Love is beautiful and losing the beauty can be crushing, but nothing can take the memories and the gift of love.
