Leica M12 Speculation

Audio is important for YT videos. Perhaps a better mic solution for the next video. I'll wait for the M11-P and M12-P. I'd like to see a rangefinder focus implementation that can engage the close focusing of the later lenses without having to go to live view.

Fuji is not a true rangefinder.. there’s no mechanical linkage to the lens. Its all electronic…. So you can’t fit an optical patch with an evf. Plus, as with the Leica watch not being quartz, Leica loves mechanical.

The m11 was a remarkable modernization of the M. Now Leica needs to update the maestro processor to make the camera much faster.

Leica’s need to adopt Fuji’s dr400 mode so that Leica’s don’t blow up hilight so fast. It’s all software and doable in any Leica.

Guy’s already planning to sell his m11… wired.

Leica is responsible for all the major innovations in cameras? No, dude, that's patently false. Most of the modern innovations have come through electronics development, and most of those have been made by the Japanese manufacturers over the past 50 years. Also: M-Series cameras are not mirrorless. Mirrorless cameras are widely accepted to mean cameras that not only lack reflex mirrors, but which also view directly off the sensor using an EVF. M-Series cameras actually use mirrors as part of the manual rangefinder mechanism (unless you mean without a *reflex* mirror, but you didn't specify that).

I’d want IBIS and a EVF option but M stands for Messsucher in German witch means rangefinder so a EVF is out of the picture for Leica M but The Leica Q serious is similar looking so I can see maybe eventually you’ll see a Leica Q with Interchangeable lenses witch has Evf already
