Reworking the Trunk Space in My No Build Minivan Camper Conversion | Dodge Grand Caravan

I'm always updating my van to suit my needs, but here's the latest trunk setup in anticipation for my big travel season!

I'm heading to Montana and Washington for a majority of the summer.

Looks great! I mostly copied your design for my Town & Country and put my metal shelving unit behind the bed like you have done. It works great as a headboard and gives me support to lean against in bed. I use woven baskets instead of plastic bins and keep my coffee on a top shelf so it’s accessible from inside. Love your videos and enjoy seeing your tips and tricks!!

Looks good, did you dyi your van windows your self ( for night time) and if so did you put cardboard in between ? Your lama curtain looks like it hanging solid like maybe weights are in there ?!P.S come up to New York when pandemic over !!! We’ll have a beer 🍺

When you started your first setup and had the seats removed from the van, did you store your seats somewhere? I’ve heard of people fully committing to their camping setup and just selling the seats. But if you store them, then you can put them all back in when/if you trade in or sell the van. I pulled out seats for a dog crate platform in a previous car and our storage solution for the removed seats was not a good one. Wildlife found their way in and did considerable damage even though we had packed it pretty tightly in plastic (which was easy to chew through, apparently). So I’ve been trying to work around my seats, but no matter which position they’re in, they’re taking up valuable space.

I have a sienna and I want to build it out so I can camp on site at agility trials, my biggest challenge being how to strategically arrange a big dog crate and a little dog crate. The big reason why the seats need to go. (I saw your early agility videos with Wynston - I love watching chihuahuas do agility. :) ) Your videos have been so helpful and because I really need to get the most bang for the money I put into the build.

What is the length of the space from the front seats to the back hatch? I have a 72 in. mattress and NOTHING fits at either end of mattress. I have to store on the side of my bed.
