Looking at a well crafted weld is like looking at a fine painting. Can't beat real craftsmanship.

I don't understand why everyone is hating on him for using a rotator. If your company cares about the quality of the weld they will give you a rotator and a fixture for your parts. Mine does. Tube specialties for life

Something so satisfying about watching that weld! I guess it's the feeling that there is still great talent out there.

Honestly I don’t know much about welding but that, looks so pretty. Looks like the rotating thing is making the job much more cleaner and easier

Curious. What did he spray it with before he started? Guess it was something to keep the schlag from sticking?

been welding 40 Years, arc, mig, tig, heli arc, ect... nice bead however that fact that the pieces revolve at a steady pace makes it easier and nice! Still a great bead and takes lots of practice!

I used to pipe weld and my welds were identical to this, i was thought by an old blacksmith boilermaker to weld beads like that for the job. Here comes the fun fact, although it may look cold it's a bead weld you clowns! If you ran a straight flat pass @ the same amp's and material thickness it would be flat.

Its got a rise making it look cold from the shear fact the beads overlap "stacking" as a seal prevention for any leaks. There is more heat in this weld then is probably needed and an x-ray would prove this weld to be tough as nails.

Everyone thinks they know it all yet have no idea about pipe welding, also just for the heads up another weld is ran on the inside of the flange, in most cases. Another fact about pipe welding to flanges is the fine line before TOO much heat, it's tricky. Too much heat will distort the flange making the gasket seal fail @ the point of both flanges bolted together due to a warped flange.

This isn't structural nor production line welding it's pipe welding! Now pull your thumbs out your asses and stop thinking you're some master welders.

very nice weld, does anyone know what was sprayed on the metal before he started welding?

That's not welding that's pure art! Poetry in motion! Fantastic skill that man - well done!

I always was fascinated on how thin and weak a spool of weilding metal is but when heated and bonded it is super strong just as strong as the steel its stuck to.

Great job, I love seeing people excel in their field of expertise. And when someone adds an artistic touch to construction work, that's a highly skilled individual right there. I'm in the electrical union, Local 357, and I add a touch of artistic flare to my work, whether it's conduit bending or wiring. Awesome job welding.
