So smooth that it took them 5 minutes to find out what happened. LOL

The only praise Angel Hernandez should ever get

That was AWESOME of Angel Hernandez. I don't care what people say about his Umpiring in the past. This particular play, he was on it and did his job. & there is nothing wrong with commending him for that.

Best call of Angel Hernandez' umpire career

MVP: Umpire who was paying better attention to the ball than than either the player or his third base coach

To the haters:
There is nothing dirty about this play. This is also hilarious. Baseball is a great sport. No, not because of this. This is just an added bonus. Enjoy

I love how Uribe and the 3rd base coach both look up like "da fuq" when Hernandez calls him out.

Great play and GREAT work by the Umpire. So often umps miss plays like that by simply not paying attention. Props to you Angel for being a professional, paying attention to YOUR job and not getting catch up in watching a baseball game.

Really fun story about this:
So my dad works for the Dodgers and was telling me about this trick play and how afterwords the rest of the team would not stop dogging Uribe about this, jokes, pranks, etc. The best of it was when there was an event where kids took the field and Uribe was at 3rd. The other players handed this little girl a ball and told her that when Uribe isn't looking tag him with it and call him out. Uribe is a funny man :)

How is that a "hidden ball trick"?  Anyone paying attention is going to see the blatantly obvious toss.

More like the other team asleep at the wheel.

A good umpire ALWAYS know where the ball is. Good call by Angel.

They teach you to call time out when you need to step off the base when youre like 12.

Usually the hidden ball trick is done at 2nd where there is no base coach to warn the runner.

"That's a bad call, That's not even close" is what the announcers should be saying about themselves lol

The whole damn TEAM is at fault here. The Dodgers have their home dugout on the third base line. SOMEONE should have seen it and yell out and made sure either the runner or base coach knew that the ball was behind them. Many of them have literally NOTHING else to do.
