Guys, an important note.
If you're reinstalling the cpu, you have to retwist again these plastic pins, otherwise it will not click, no matter the pressure you put!!!

Obviously, don't do it this way. Place the motherboard on a flat surface, and press the cooler down into position.

turn left and pull up = removal
turn right and push down = install

*rotating the clips in the respective direction must be done before the pull or push

I had to remove this, but when trying to put it back I found a couple of the white plastic pins had split open, wider than needed. I do not want to break them when I put it all back. Any suggestions?

I have the same cooling system and intel i7 processor. Can I upgrade my PC with i9 processor without changing cooling system?

When i pushdown to install the cooler its so hard to get it in my fingers are at the verge of breaking of how much strength im putting down to install it

I tried doing this for 28 minutes and as soon as I laid my pc flat it work please to the love of god lay your pc flat if you installing the cpu fan

Can I use my Pentium G3220 Intel stock Aluminium heatsink cooler with Core I5 4590 which I got 2nd hand & without its Intel factory Copper heatsink cooler.
Will there be a big difference between copper & aluminium heatsink temps.
Plus it's my first time installing a processor. What's the right way to apply thermal paste?
As a pea size dot in center or spread it evenly with a spatula🤔

I have a question I have an 2010 Asus desktop and I’m cleaning out because my husband is a chain smoker and I’m trying to get it cleaned out one of my little pens broke off on my Intel CPU fan how can I get that style like you were just installing or can I get one that’s easier to maneuver than that one so the pins don’t break off anymore. Screw on with screwdriver. I just don’t know options available and so on and so forth. Thanks so mich
