#Virasana or #Heropose is tradition hatha yoga pose and has been practicing many decades. However keeping the knee safe in virasana is very important . In this video we shall discuss one technique to keep knee safe .

Stretches: Knee, Ankle, Thigh
Preparatory poses: Balasana, Baddha Koṇāsana, Vajrasana

Follow-up poses: Lotus position, Triang Mukhaikapada Paschimottanasana,
Pose type: Seated
Also known as: Hero pose

Anatomy

Virasana benefits the following muscles and hence can be included in yoga sequences with the corresponding muscle(s) focus:
Hips
Knees
Quadriceps

Contraindications:- knee & Ankle Injuries
