1st option seems better as you have dedicated zones for work/study and dressing which could be divided by rugs. And would reduce the risk of bumping on the bed when you walk.

If the room proportions are correct relative to furniture size, I'd MUCH prefer option 1. I feel like you would brush against either the bed or the wardrobe any time you entered the room, which would feel claustrophobic to me. Yes, the interior feels larger, but I would feel trapped by that pinch point.
