I feel like Mccain was genuinely like "what the fuck is wrong with you people?"

McCain-Obama was the last era of civilized politics. And I miss it terribly.

I love that McCain literally took the mic away from that old lady 😂

The respect between Obama and McCain was incredible.

you know this how we should behave; I am a Muslim living and working in NYC and my boss is Jewish and every Friday we have dinner together, with his family, yes, we have disagreements sometimes, but we always respect each other.

If you haven't watched Obama's eulogy to John McCain (who had asked him to speak at his funeral), it is worth watching. It is so touching.

This is how America is supposed to be, a peaceful transfer of power. Our enemies hate that. We need to bring civility back.

I may be a democrat, but I still think John McCain was one of the bravest of us and the most sincere politician in office. What a simply decent man.

McCain's funeral probably had the most publicly followed, mourned, the fact that two former presidents that he had lost to in his own presidential campaigns, and the fact that the attendees were just about the most important and influential politicians of the last 40 years from both parties without question, made it feel close to a presidential funeral that so could so easily be followed by the average American. It was at least to me, like the most state honors and cultural national importance of an actual president.

Probably will go down as one of the most famous and non-partisan in the respect he gets that truly cemented him as an American political titan in our small yet chaotic history as a nation.

That old lady who said ‘Arab’ is now Trumps base.

0:29 McCain threw away his election because he defended his opponent from his own ignorant supporters. Much respect to that man.

“He’s a decent family man citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues, and that’s what this campaign is all about.”
As it should always be. Although I might’ve disagreed with John, he seemed to be a great man who I would’ve been honored to meet and shake his hand.

McCain was one of the most honorable men to ever hold elected office in the US

Wholesome moments like this are extremely rare not only in American politics, but in world politics in general.

I choose to firmly believe that we as a nation will return to this level of conduct as the norm for political conventions one day. I firmly believe that such a day will come!

They skipped the best line from Obama's eulogy to McCain (right around 1:50). He said something like "And I know he's enjoying watching now his two biggest opponents for the presidency saying nice things about him to a national audience"

John Boehner was so proud when president Obama mentioned his dad and Biden stood for him that smile was so wholesome

This needs to be broadcasted nationwide. We can be united again, but we have to stop the division! It’s takes everyone

Voted McCain, then Obama. He was truly a great man who saved ACA before his passing. Why I wont vote for the orange stain, for con Don to state he wasnt a hero after he himself dodged several drafts is beyond shameful.
