In this Blender beginner tutorial, we will first explore the Timeline. The Timeline is where you define the range of your animation and mange your keyframes.

Then I will show you how to create keyframes to add animation to the 3D objects in your scene.
We will cover how to create and delete keyframes, how to place markers and how to limit animation to specific properties of your objects.

Finally we will look at the Dope Sheet in Blender. The Dope Sheet gives you detailed control over all the keyframes in your 3D scene. You can use it to speed up or slow down animation, duplicate sections and fully customise the animations in your 3D scene.

I really like how you don't go shortcut heavy. Yes, shortcut keys are very useful, but to a beginner, remembering them is really hard. Please continue to use the on screen buttons while repeating what they shortcut keys are. I've tried other Blender tutorials and yours are the only ones that clicked because of this. I am learning a lot from you, thank you!

this was so useful. other tutorials would just jump to the dope sheet without explaining anything about axis rotations and keyframes and use shortcut keys all the time that would make allocating resources a living hell for the beginners.

Awesome little cube flopping around on table & the big thing smashing it at 0:33 seconds - very well done !! I look at comments see & see no mention of this amazing event & the great skill it took to make this effect. Is surprising - is it that viewers of this video are used to little cubes being smashed on their tables too ? It has not personally happened to me yet.
