This is a video of my Nature's Comfort NC175 outdoor wood boiler. It has Nature's Comfort's SM-H60 solar water heater connected to it. This is my initial start up for the season. The boiler system heats my house and my hot water.

Great video. Really wish you didn't skip the part where you put in the wood from the wheel barrel. That was the part we'd be waiting to see and you just skipped it lol. Very informative video though!

Wow, this is so interesting! We have the same kind of in-floor heating with hot water. Ours is a natural gas set up. Our "pump" room is very similar to yours. My husband grew up during the war and post-war years in the UK and tries to save money more than the average person but once a few years ago his economy cost us a bundle.

Our heating system shut down suddenly on one of the coldest days of the year and we couldn't figure out why. Here on the west coast it never gets too cold but it was freezing. So we called two different heating technicians to come out and deal with it. The first guy couldn't figure out what the problem was and the second guy took hours to work it out. He figured out that someone had gone into the pump room and had turned down the temp on the hot water tank, which feeds into the floor heating system. Not smart. It caused the in-floor heating system to overwork and then shut off completely. The water heater needs to be above a certain temp at all times.

My husband could not believe it and and denied ever touching the water tank temp setting. It was a costly fix even though all the guy did was to turn the temp back up on the water heater and do a reset of the switches. Sigh.

Question, if the solar was producing about 80 degrees, what happens when the boiler water is above 80? Do you loose heat out of the solar array? At night when it's cold does the solar array emit heat?

that solar water collector is designed to be mounted on a roof. most roofs are covered with asphalt shingles which reflect the suns heat back to the solar array. make a fake roof behind the solar array use sheet metal roofing and paint it black. I'll bet you see an improvement.

What is the chimney you used to make the adapter work? I have currently what comes from factory. Any help is appreciated. I plan on just putting a some black galvanized stove pipe with screws and high temp caulk here soon. I need to get the smoke up into air more. Great video!

I have the NCB-175 also. My water pump is out with the boiler. Mine goes through A LOT of wood during the winter months. What type of water treatment do you use?
