Many queer Palestinians have sought political asylum in Israel successfully. No other country in the Middle East or other Muslim majority country would allow this. All democracies are flawed- but they try- they inch forward in progress and that is commendable and admirable. Palestine ? They are happy to stay in the 7th century. Progress to them is owning a smart phone.
