The Japanese Empire expands throughout the Pacific where Allied forces attempt to halt its spread. A desperate struggle for control of the Solomon Islands is now underway.

How will you protect your transports as they deliver troops and supplies in the South Pacific? Will you deploy precious aircraft carriers to provide air cover? Do you screen the area with submarines? Or attempt to lure the enemy navy into a decisive surface engagement?

In one of my playthroughs I sunk one of the Yamato class ships with air torpedos and I got a little sad that I couldn’t fight her with my main surface fleet

Did the Japanese AI attempted their IRL Operation I-GO with ramming and beaching their ships? Or did teh placement of the ships did this?

God, Im spoiling the series for myself by watching this, Im still in Episode 6

He did in fact, not ride this one out.

Both ships were steaming at full speed into a beach with 4 lengths to shore. They were never going to leave that island even if you missed. Or is that not a thing in this game?
