It makes me laugh when anyone says, “Talk to your doctor.” As if your doctor will have any clue what you’re talking about 😂.

I have the mthfr gene the worst one 2 copies. Everytime i take methylfolate i get unbelievably bad side effects, worse depression, low libido general feeling of unwell. The more i read about this mthfr the more skeptical I’ve become. Turns out that your body is only able to process 30% of folate with mthfr gene but this does not mean you are deficient! Research shows that if you have enough folate intake, the 30% in processing can still give you more than enough of what your body needs.

I was diagnosed with Low grade Squamousintraepithelial lesion and a Negative HPV test, my OBGYN suggested taking Folic acid, I did some research and Methyl folate seems to be a better alternative, how many mcg is adequate doctor? Any feed back is much appreciated

I have MTHFR from both parents. I only became aware of this fact a year ago. I had two miscarriages in my 20s but had my son when i was 30. I am wondering if the miscarriages had anything or everything to do with the MTHF gene mutation? Thoughts?

Hi. I do have the MTHFR gene mutation. I do have all the negative symptoms that this gene mutation would create! I did talk to my doctor regarding this matter, and he stated that supplementation would not help in any way. What I found is that the doctor's opinions are split in half! Some say supplementation is junk and people should get it from food and some say that it will benefit you! But i'm going to give it a shot and see what happens!

Is it ok to just take it without knowing if you have the mutation or not

I have been told to use methylfolate a few years ago but I felt worse than when I take folic acid. Do you know how this can be the case? Thank you :)

This gene and its mutations live up to its acronym! 😂
The awareness of this gene and its mutations need to be taken seriously.
