I work in rental property and we have a tenant that when he moved in originally he signed a five-year lease after two years he signed on for a additional seven. I guess this explains it then.

Generally speaking this is bullshit. I had 2 clients in the last 3 years that went to buy a business (cell phone repair store and a gym). We were able to negotiate the price of both down to $0. They just had to take over the long term leases. Be careful of the internet giving business advice people
