Whew! I’m going to have to sit through this a few more times to fully digest these manipulations.

I've gone through your process several times and am very optimistic about the results. When converting to 16 or 8 bit, the image becomes so gaudy. So, taking it from gaudy to perfect is the challenging part for me. I would like to see more information regarding the tone mapping process.

I've never played with the HDR to any extent like this - The video opens up a lot of additional tricks that I can see VERY useful!!! Many thanks!!!!

Pretty convoluted, I'll stick to LR HDR...

As always, I learn a lot from your videos. I have the latest update for Photoshop. I followed your directions. Preferences>technology preferences> Not listed, precise color management for HDR display.
I have windows 10 Maybe you get versions some others do not get.

Quite honestly and candidly... Photoshop has changed so much in the last year and I would be 100% lost without your knowledge and education. This video... brilliant and so easy to understand.

Fantastic, informative video. Long time user of PS and ACR and I knew nothing about these features. I had no success getting the HDR button via Photoshop, as there was no option in Preferences, but I did via Adobe Camera Raw under Settings, then restarting. Thank you so much!

Thank you for another easy-to-understand amazing video. It's been a while since I shot HDR, will shoot HDR soon so I can apply this method.

Great video! Im just starting to learn the PS tools for HDR. If im editing fairly standard single exposure images, should I be saving all my final edits as JPGXL to future proof? Or would a single exposure fit nicely in the 8bit SDR range? Is it worth the hassle?

This has opened my eyes to HDR. I have merged photos in the past but not like this and the outcome is short of stunning.

Thank you for your wonderful videos. I am a long user of HDR. I never liked the PS version of HDR. I always used Photomatix however you got me very exited with the technical description of HDR. I currently have the latest version of the Mac operating system and the latest version of PS on my Mac Studio Computer with the XDR Apple display. I could NOT open the HDR button you described and just like another of your followers I did not find within the settings of PS under :TECHNOLOGY PREVIEWS your choice. The only HDR issue there is:
Precise Color management for HDR display

What am I missing?
Delighted with your videos

Thank you for sharing this video! Although I am happy to work with the ACR HDR feature and follow all your recommendations, I cannot convert the file from 32 to 16/8 bit without losing all the jobs I made. I mean it works until the preview during the conversion. When I click OK, the result is a disaster. Could you help?

Could you show how this process would work with sunrise or sunset images?

I’m running Mac OS Ventura, don’t see the HDR setting under display for either my BenQ or my Wacom Cintiq. Any ideas?

Previews are not in the menu and when I search for preferences, Color Management for HDR Display is not in the checkboxes. ...Latest update for Photoshop installed today, March 29.

Wow, I really love that you can now control all aspects of HDR instead of relying on 3rd party software that is terribly inadequate with often, gaudy results. This is fairly complex, but will be well worth the effort for special photos and situations.
