What’s ANYA Mind?
Today, we’re talking about Sue Johnson & Leslie Greenburg’s Emotionally Focused Therapy. This model factors in attachment insecurity as a core contributor to relational distress. As usual, we’ll go over the buzzwords to looks for on a test, the key concepts, role of the therapist, view of the problem, and goals! Any other models that you’d like me to review?

I'm currently being treated together with my wife using this type of therapy. It has brought us closer together for sure.

Great content, as always! I am in my MSW program currently and I feel like I owe you tuition from how much I've learned from you. I appreciate you!

I am taking my test on Wednesday - I was supposed to take it 3-4 years ago but I had my first stroke right before the exam and by the time I reapplied I hit covid (the test was the week after the stay at home announcement) then I had to make up hours and then had stroke 2, 3, and 4 which left me rehabbing physically as I was left with the inability to write walk talk and etc, . Now I have difficulty with remember - I did TDC and it was kind of helpful but the voice is not as playful - and I need visual. I really like your tone of voice. Thank you for making these. I am 5 years in the making of taking this exam.

I love this, I am currently in my internship as a mental health counselor and have a couple as a client. This breakdown helped so much and gave me reassurance that I am giving them the tools they need to succeed and get better. Thank you.

This was so insightful! I especially like the explanation of the cycle of the problem with attachment, I can totally see how this occurs in my own relationship. I never fully realized the clingy phase after the conflict but now I see it and it definitely happens both ways. We're both doing our best to not fall into our pattern though and working so far

I've been watching ALL of your theory review over and over in preparation for my licensure exam and they are VERY helpful. Thank you for taking the time out to do this!

I've done most of that earlier working through my trauma from an very abusive relationship. I started making my music after 2 years of being completely separated from him and i made a few songs about him that really helped me dig deep and fix those raw wounds that i just covered with a bandage and in midst of our relationship i miscarried a child and so those old wounds came back to me forcing me to work through those wounds and realizing how much I've overcame and now I'm giving others my testimony and help them through my experiences. And making my music is something I always wanted to do since i was a child and my ex boyfriend at the time was very jealous and still is jealous of me and he used to destroy anything i created. While also destroying me. I'm still watching ur videos after the Twilight videos and they're helping me understand what i sent though and what i did that was useful to my development from that time until now. Thank u truly ❤

Thank you so much for doing this channel. I may not agree with everything but it’s so important to get healthy psychological thinking more into the mainstream

WOW, as a therapist trainee, I've been doing many of these concepts with my couples already, and I didn't even know it aligned with EFT couples therapy. This confirms I need to be treated as an EFT couples therapist. Thank you!
