In the cuboidal donut, if we just take a cuboid and punch a rectangle through the middle of it ( getting rid of the edges and vertices crossing through the middle), we will get a (smooth) donut which has V = 16, E = 24 & F = 10, making V - E + F = 2.
What am I missing here?
