The dog one really got my blood boiling. I've never been afraid of dogs, but as a human being with feelings and phobias, the least that person could've done was be polite and not enter the elevator. The woman was trapped with an animal she was CLEARLY scared of, and the dude was being petty about it, being mean and saying she could leave the elevator like ??? She was there first. Comparing being scared of a dog to discrimination or racism is baffling to me 💀

I want to talk about the dog situation, and I totally agree. Why bring up color about a dog situation? It's unnecessary. I'm brown and I have a dog, but if somebody is generally afraid of my dog and wants me to leave, I'll leave. It's not discrimination, it's just a person scared of a dog.. just leave the elevator and wait for another one, it's not that serious.

As someone who has a major phobia of dogs if that shit happed to me, I’d genuinely have a panic attack. Some people really don’t understand the difference between a slight fear and a full blown phobia and it’s crazy

The dog thing is so real. I’ve had an irrational fear of dogs my whole life, as a child/teenager practically every time without fail dog owners would cross my boundaries because “oh no! my dog is so well behaved they won’t hurt you!” and ignore my requests for space, or actively bring their dog toward me after seeing me tense up and back away!
When I’d tell them that it doesn’t matter if their dog is nice, I don’t want their dog to come anywhere near me they just can’t understand because to them that’s their sweet baby. To me, not so much.
Thankfully I can tolerate being near them now, but I would have definitely had a panic attack/been paralyzed with fear if I was in her situation when younger.
