AMD Cold Boot Screen Glitch *DIY FIX* in English

If the screen on your AMD based laptop goes crazy when it cold boots then this video shows you how to fix it.

The laptop in the video is a Lenovo V145-15AST which is an AMD A9-9425 base machine with R5 integrated graphics, 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD.

It originally came with FreeDOS, and this problem is what happens after you install Windows 10 Version 2004 and allow Windows Update to fully complete all the available updates it finds.

On a cold boot, the screen breaks, but after restarting everything is fine after the warm boot.

As an update, this also works for the Lenovo YOGA series that have the same R5 graphics chip in them. The gliches look different - with weird screen flickering instead of the pattern shown in this video - but they all go away once the drivers are updated.

i had two hp machines doing the exact same thing after upgrading the hdd to an ssd and installed windows 10 2004, i thought it was the awful drivers that windows installs automatically so i diabled windows update and extracted the original drivers from the hdds and it worked lol, but getting the latest ones seems to work aswell. ty for the information.
