Currently working full time in Insurance Consulting, and studying for IFoA professional exams to become a qualified actuary. I studied Physical Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge 2017-2020, and specialised in Astrophysics.

Thank you for this video. I am currently in my second year of studying actuarial science at uni in South Africa (so through ASSA and not IFOA) and I found this so useful. I met an actuary a few days ago and I asked him if he could explain his day-to-day work but honestly, you have done a much better job at explaining everything. Congratulations on passing 7 of your exams already! And I hope your next exam season goes well too :)

I've been following you for a couple of years and with all due respect, you studied a wonderful career at the university, a very interesting career, studying physical and astrophysics sciences is incredible, it's a bit sad, that many people/scientists actually end up working in the world of companies and businesses, actually I'm not the one to judge and I think I understand why, I guess, but I don't know, follow what makes you happy anyway!

I am writing my advice, and I am nervous about the fact that I have to type in formulae and stuff under pressurized exam conditions using a computer. Do you think 3 exams are manageable? I have a master's in statistics and wanted to write cb1, cb2, cs1. I am currently lecturing statistics and Mathematics
