loved this video!!!... I' m restarting in watercolors after many many years without painting and I've been achieving some really flat paintings, no depth, no shadows... to be honest, some frustrating And I think this is the kind of excersice that I need to improve!! and, specially, to enjoy my watercolors!!!.... Thanks a lot!! You're a such a wonderful teacher!... Greetings from Chile. ;)

Thanks Carrie, this is great, love the new series. These are going to be great to collect. I didn't realize how much prep work there is, but I can see how useful it would be to take the time to do. Looking forward to the next one. =D

I'm doing a watercolor course in "real life", where we kind of copy artists work (in our own style). In your video a can gain really deep and practical knowledge, whereas in the course I'm just painting (it's fun, but I'm the kind of person thats wants to know it Thank you so much for being such a great teacher!

I don't want to buy stuff on Etsy, but I would totally pay for your videos (really, I would) <3

This was a great video! I wish I was so organized. I like how you touched on your use of Magenta as well, especially to the shadow areas...even when painting something all green. It adds harmony to the art piece using a contrasting color and deepens shadows. Green and red are opposite on the color wheels, which makes them contrasting colors.

Thanks for sharing your "secret" method---you are so generous! My "secret" is using Prussian Blue--it makes gorgeous, natural greens with every yellow I own. :-)

I love these tips! :D That really makes sense to experiment with them on scrap paper before using them together in an illustration. I can't wait to try this out a bit further! :D I might even add permanent mixing experiments to my mixing chart notebook. Cheers!
