😎 7 SHOWSTOPPER LAKE HOUSE DECOR DIYS~Coastal Farmhouse DIYS~Simple Summer Decor Ideas

I am at my lake house this week so thought I would share some of my favourite DIYs that I used to decorate it. Enjoy!

DIY Chalk Paint Recipe:
2 parts acrylic or latex paint
1 part pure talc (Do not use cornstarch baby powder it won't work because the cornstarch is too slippery!) Here are a couple of links to talc products:

Mix very well, shaking is best. Check the paint often to make sure that the all the talc is incorporated. Use on any dull surface such as raw wood, plastic, metal. If you are gluing the project onto something, glue it first, then paint it. Sometimes the baby powder doesn't hold the glue very well.

Love coastal decor, I grew up 6 miles from the Jersey shore and this just brings me home. My favorite were the "Deck Rules" both the diy and the rules. I also liked the ombre bottle but I'm just not a fan of beaded garland, I just don't see the need for it except at Christmas.
