It’s heartbreaking to see orthodoxy going through this. At the same time, I think they thought because of their reliance on traditions, they were impervious to the pressures of modern issues, and we are now seeing that they are every bit as susceptible as the rest of us.
We are going to have to sit back and watch them hash it out.
I do have a friend who had been going to a local orthodox priest for some counseling, and when she expressed a professional concern about serving a SSA couple (think, wedding cake stuff), the priest councilor blew up at her, called her a bigot, and said she was overly influenced by conservative catholicism.
I found out a little later his teenage son is dealing with SSA.
But the whole thing was very shocking, we have assumptions that the orthodox are thoroughly traditional, extending to marriage and sexuality, and that’s not the case.

As an Orthodox Christian (woman), my experience is that there is practically very little awareness that this is happening, and denial that anything like that could ever happen to the Orthodox Church. I've heard of the "Orthobros, " apparently young lay men who are combative internet warriors, not representative of most Orthodox people, let alone clergy. Yet I think that those combative types probably have a role to play. BUT it sounds (from what I hear in this video) that they are all ready to get up in arms because a Catholic dares to point out things happening in the Orthodox Church. As though what matters is who points it out! They shouldn't be up in arms against some Catholic Youtuber, they should be up in arms to defend the Orthodox Church against Satan! Honestly, you and the Orthobros should unite on the same side, support each other in combatting wokeism in both churches, and focus your arguments on which church is better able to defend itself, but both churches allied in defending against Satan!

As an Orthodox Christian, I could make the case that we have a stronger defense precisely because we don't have one central human authority. Now, you clearly feel the opposite. So you should prove it by fighting against your own pope's woke tendencies, while the Orthobros should be fighting against the woke things beginning to happen in some Orthodox jurisdictions. That's where that warrior energy should be directed! It doesn't matter that these things seem small at this point. The arc of salvation cannot afford to sprout leaks!

I do have an appreciation for the Orthodox, but as you have stated, many on social media such as Orthodox Ethos present this perfect holy church. They all say the Orthodoxy has never failed in upholding the true faith, I always comment they have amnesia, they seem to forget arianism (reason for the Filioque), nestorianism, docetism, just to name a few. They have such a condescending attitude towards others, and they can never admit to any error. It is clear their are many Orthodox who desire unity, unfortunately their are many who will do and say anything to stay in a state of antagonism and division.

I object to your generalization of this issue of the woman in Africa made a deaconesses in the Patriarchate of Alexandria. This Lebanese Archimandrite does not represent the whole of Orthodoxy. Only does a single Bishop or Patriarch represent his own See and not beyond. This action by the Alexandrians IS HERESY. And any Orthodox jurisdiction who remains in Eucharistic Communion with the Alexandrian Church is likewise separated from the catholicity of the Orthodox Church.
