In Kalos League there was no sense to made him Loss against Charizard, clearly Greninja was dominating him in overall battle also they have shown how much powerful he is + He was unable to control by Evil energies.. that's why he was chosen to protect the whole kalos region.. that loss was already decided by giving a sensless plot Armour to Alain's Mega Charizard X, who easily took down pikachu and then the same pikachu defeated the most powerful Charizard of the world along with Cinderace
and became the world champion
