Personally, I think that's a hell of a cover!

There’s this emperor, and he asks a shepherd’s boy, “How many seconds in eternity?” And the shepherds boy says
“There’s this mountain of pure diamond, and it takes one hour to climb it and one hour to go around it. Every hundred years, a little bird comes and sharpens it’s beak on the diamond mountain. And when the entire mountain is chiselled away, the first second of eternity will have passed!”
You might think that’s one helluva long time,
Personally, I think that’s one helluva bird.

While hearing this for the first time I realised that the Doctor is referring to himself when he says that it's "one hell of a bird". He's got a solution, even if it will take a long time to bear fruit, and by god it's a good one.

This feels like those early NuWho songs with the 'ooh' vocals. They kinda stopped that with Smith (?) Really love this.

Never be cruel, never be cowardly and never ever eat pears. Remember - hate is always foolish and love is always wise. Always try to be nice and never fail to be kind.

“Oh, there it is...silly old universe. The more I save it, the more it needs saving...it’s a treadmill!”
*tardis noises*
“Yes, yes I know they’ll get it all wrong without me.”
*more tardis noises*
“I suppose...one more lifetime...wouldn’t kill anyone.”
*hand starts to glow* “Well, except me...”
“You wait a moment, Doctor! Let’s get it right! Basic stuff first: *Never be cruel, never be cowardly!”*
_”and never ever eat pears!_ remember...hate is always foolish and love is always wise...”
“Always try to be nice but never fail to be kind _oh_ and...you mustn’t tell anyone your name. No one would understand it anyway.”
“Except-“ *le gasp*
“Except...children. Children can hear it...sometimes, if their hearts are in the right place...and the stars are, too....children can hear your name.”
“But nobody else...no one else...ever.”
“Laugh hard. Run fast. _Be kind.”_
“Doctor...I let you go...” *tardis12.exe uninstalled. Installing tardis13.mp4*

This is brilliant! A lot of the vocals remind me of "Doomsday" another great Doctor Who classic song! Love it :)

I really can’t explain the feelings towards this beautiful cover. The Shepherd’s Boy alone is amazing and beautiful, but you captured how I feel towards the cover. This cover really brought me the light and positivity I lost for years. So I want to say thank you for making this, it is truly amazing. Beautiful, beautiful cover.
Quick question.
How many seconds in eternity?

Would you ever consider doing the version from "The Doctor Falls"? Would be fascinating to hear it in this style!

The fact that this cover has less than 7000 views is a straightforward insult.
Most beautiful piece, even without knowing the background plot from the series, this cover hits so hard.
The tones are just perfect, i can hear lightly distorted soft bells in the end, it's just beatiful, the contrast, the progression, everything.
It's totally different from the original, like a whole new story is being unraveled... Bravo!

There’s this king, and he asks for a shepherd boy.
“How many second in eternity?” Adn the shepherd boy says,
“There’s a scribe,
Every year he climbs to the to the top of a mountain of pure diamond,
It’s takes a day to climb, and day to go around,
When he reaches the summit he sharpens his quill, to record the deed of his people,
And to teach the children the stories of old,
And when the entire mountain has been worn away, the first second of eternity will have passed”
“You may think what a man,
But I say, what a species”

Had this in my liked videos playlist for months, I absolutely adore this cover and agree when it sounds like a western at the first bit, which is far from a bad thing. I just love this cover!
