This is the best video so far.  I have one of these and could not get it to work.  My problem was the whole sim card thing.  So after much complaints I finally found a ptel sim, but when I got the sim.  Not being familiar with a sim cards and how they work, I popped the card out and tried to install it the smallest way.  Didn't work.  Then after watching several videos that had a different installation process of the sim, I finally figured out that I had to put the sim in, in it's bigger cardboard selection.  (does that make sense?)  I popped the small version of the sim back into the larger window.  Anyway low and behold it worked.  It took me 2 days to figure this out so that's why I put this in here.  In fact I might make my own Video just on this.  If you have always had Verizon they don't work the same way with the sim card thing.  I was pretty clueless.  Also spent days hunting for a sim card that I didn't have to pay a monthly service.  The Ptel works fine.  I have sense ordered one that says it is specifically for GPS  Now I wish I hadn't because the ptel was cheaper.  Anyway that is my 2 cents.  I have ordered another gps now that I know it works and how to make it work.

Hello, I'm in a remote location, where there isn't always a GSM signal. Will this work as GPS without a GSM signal? I've noticed some devices don't function unless the GSM is active. Thanks.

I have a question: is there an option for this device to text/send location when it detects movement? All by itself, let says it is in my car and someone steals it, would it be able to send a text to my phone? This feature will sell me. Thanks in advance.

Does it respond to SMS when in sleep mode. Sleep mode is to save battery life.

@davidloock : Would you happen to know how to troubleshoot this device for "password err". The SIM is working but when i send "begin123456" it returns "password err". Its supposed to be a new device. I tried "adminpassword13142324" but that returns "admin fail". I tried "password123456 again "password err".

HI for problems with your TK102B try the reset command....reset123456. I accidentally put it in and it worked..Don't know why they dont tell us this...

Have you used this outside the house yet?  Also, where do you have yours mounted?  Very curious to see how reliable this would be in the event that I needed to recover my Phantom in a wooded area.  Thanks!

Another question Dave, mine has flip up SIM & SD card holders. The SIM holder has 4 fingers on each side and my T-mobile has only 3. My SIM is full size and I pop it to mini SIM. Neither fit; the flip door does not latch. I am confused.

Hi David, thanks for the video, one question that has been asked a few times, can you live track with this unit as in, can you track in realtime on say google earth/maps where you can follo2w the unit as it move's up a motorway/road.(highway in the states) thanks again.

The program which comes with the CD wants a user id and password when launched. What should i type there?

You kind of left out alot of other things that require it to get going. Like my instructions say phone the tracker ten times to set up your phone. And a bunch of stuff. I have been trying for two hours here and I can't get mine to work:(
