🌬️Climate change is the single greatest threat to the livelihoods of Pacific People despite them contributing less than one percent of the world’s total CO2 emissions.
Climate mitigation means avoiding and reducing emissions of heat-trapping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere to prevent the planet from warming to more extreme temperatures. In the Pacific region, countries included as many sectors as possible in their mitigation targets: Agriculture, transport, waste management and electricity generation.
