Note: This forecast was shot and produced using a laptop while on the road so the video and audio quality suffers a little bit. This week our Sun is keeping us on our toes as Region 3738 has grown to become an X-flare player. Although it has fired a few M-class flares (including an M5.2-flare early on July 13) this region has yet to launch any significant solar storms. Amateur radio operators are dealing with a lot of noise on the dayside radio bands which will continue throughout this week. In addition we have another big-flare player about to rotate into Earth view. This region has already fired an M2.3-flare according to Solar Orbiter/STIX observations and is a solar storm producer. THus we should expect activity to remain high into next week. Meanwhile, aurora photographers should expect a decent chance for aurora as some fast solar wind from a coronal hole hits Earth over the next few days. Learn the details of the coming fast solar wind, watch the explosive growth of Region 3738, and see what is lurking on the Sun's farside.

Ms Skov, could you please speak to the weakening of the Earth's magnetic field and the coming Solar Max? Are there serious implications or threats under these circumstances?

Minute 4:13; '....we're sitting with solar flux in the triple digits...' good grief, what ISN'T in the triple digits? 117 degrees F 3 days in a row at the barn!!! I got some serious solar flux fuxin' its muscle 'round here.

There is manipulation of the timestamp of video, 3738 is up with a chance of increasing wind 😊 yet it likely won't achieve its full potential this time around. So we will stay tuned for further updates. 😊 thank you Dr. Skov

Your skills and predictions are truly amazing ❤ with hundreds + weather channel's and billions of $ they can't tell us what's gona happen on a day to day. I would think they should be able to tell us a drop count on rain by now....

So let's talk about heat. I mean pretty lights on the sky and radio communications is an interesting effect but you can't tell me the sun has gotten stronger for a few decades with more fusion storms and blasts towards the earth without any heat coming too. But you somewhat ominously avoid ever talking about the heat blasting towards the earth as well.
