Thank you for this comparison. Very informative. I was wondering what have been the exact changes between them. The conclusion is that FX processors were weak and a bad buy (that's why I didn't buy them then). The 6700K offered a substantial improvement over the 4770K, allowing a gamer to always be over 60 fps, which wasn't the case with older processors or lower tier processors. Some people are using 6700K to this day. Zen 4 will now offer 29% boost in single-core performance after 2 years, which is also decent and can make a difference for people with for example 165 Hz displays.

these benchmarks are bs ive seen videos from more reliable youtubers who show the difference between the 4790k and the 6700k are no more than 3 or 4 fps and to achieve the same performance as the 6700k all u have to do is oc ur 4790k, its videos like this that make kids spew bs all over the Internet

Im going to go for a 4790K, apparently not worth skipping to Skylake considering it costs more expensive, the Mobo, and DDR4 memories are cost consider.. Futhermore barely you get 3 or 4 FPS more in games..

It is not worth it honestly..

The price/Preformance comparison only really works if you are getting a new computer from scratch. For people who are upgrading CPU, they will all need to get another motherboard as well due to the new socket requirement.

If your graphics card is being run at 100%, and nothing is bottlenecking it, putting a different processor in won't increase your fps by 20%. Especially if your running a modern i7 like the 4790k.

difference on 4770k and 7600k is what 500-600mhz stock? i think that explanes allready the fps difference?

Why would you do a comparison and use different memory speeds? I realize that DDR4 may be required on newer motherboards, but you should of matched their speeds in the bios.

same performance to i7, but lower power conumption and lower heat output
